I hit this last night when I was driving from GJ to GW. Was able to get some surfs in for about a hour or so. Probably 10 paddlers there last night and it was a lot of fun. Not sure i would consider driving from the front range for it yet though. I was just passing through so it was a great way to break up the drive. We had levels climbing up to 22000. Lots of wood floating down river, keep an eye upstream for whats heading at you. Bring your long playboats; Neckys, RPMs, etc. can get front surfs for days. The wave was a little slow for my rockstar but you were able to front surf the pile for as long as you want. It was just hard to get any speed to get those sweet carving surfs. Enjoy!

photo looks just under 20, you want 22 for it to be good. flat-bottom long boat definitely makes it more fun. jive, rip, redline, axiom, etc.
