Has anyone hit Big Sur yet? Is the dam open?

I went out last night. Just kept getting better with time. Mid 20G's. Easy surfing and spins 1st through 3rd waves (although I am all over the place, good thing for a large pocket). 1st wave was just starting to break occasionally. Couldn't catch first with playboat unless I came from downriver left. A guy tried out his surf board, but it was not quite retentive enough for him to surf. Should just keep getting better today and tomorrow. Two river left rollers were partially open. I doubt they will open these (unless they risk damage to the dam) as flows frin the Gunnison are so high that it would likely result in flooding downstream (which would likely include parts of I-70).
