According to the Forest Service web site, Long Draw road just opened:
As Craw mentioned yesterday, we could use some help with a couple of log extractions - big one at Prime Time, and one in the lower Rush. Planning on meeting at 10am at the take-out tomorrow (Sunday) and could use your help if you're able and willing. Thanks!
Also of note, as of yesterday there was still a log below the main drop in Cool World (in the swirly eddy above the magnetic wall). And, the foot bridge at the bottom of weird creek, just above the confluence with the Poudre, collapsed over the winter and is a walk at this level.
p.s. Bruno: I think you may have been talking to Marty (Craw) about that. There are no gates blocking access to the areas of concern, so I don't get the feeling that we will be able to have FS open the gates early to the public. I know several people have tried to work out early access to the run over the years, but beyond that I don't know where we stand with the politics. I can find out. Seems to me there are several solutions we could pitch, and with the proper planning we may stand a chance to run the BS earlier in the year.
