Big South / Long Draw release update
Talked to the long draw operators this morning. They are not planning on making any changes to long draw operations this weekend. Long draw is full and inflow is spilling, meaning that outflow is not constant like a release, but on a steady decline. Long draw is 183 this morning, and could be 150ish on the current decline by the end of the weekend.
This may be the last weekend for decent big south flows. Haven't seen any upper canyon reports lately, but I'd guess that big south would be between 2 and 3 on the rock at the big south takeout... low to med/low? Just my guess.
Long draw ops say they are planning on bumping long draw back up maybe next week or so, but they rarely go much above 200 this late in the year, and with continued natural flow decline it will likely be bone zone after this weekend. I guess its the standard big south 2 week season after the gate opens. Damn the gate!!!
Consolation prize... come on down to bailey fest next weekend for boofs and beers!
