Hey Charlie, no Jakes, or middle for that matter. It looked like you would die in the taf to jaws section.

The water was doing things I had never seen before and god forbid you swam or skirt imploded. I've been in barrell around 10 g's and cross mtn at 12+g's and it was unreal in there. For you big water paddlers it's a must hit at these levels.

Bobby, I have a hercules and to be honest, it's still in boulder. I haven't got to paddle it yet, but loved the look and prijon is a paddlers friend. I paddle the nomad right now, but hate the attitude of dagger as I broke 2 nomads last year, one being 3 weeks old. Had the shop talk to Joel and he basicly said the home office said I hit rocks and they wouldn't warranty the boat. Prijon is the best with paddlers issues and landis takes care of his consumers. Plus the plastic is the best.

Anyway, glad you folks like the vid.

Hobie old school surfing going on in there. Be safe this year

I think the story goes that Greg Moore and Doug Ammons did a top to bottom at around 7 grand. Top to bottom, that is, 'till Doug dislocated his shoulder in Jaws, and that was after he ran Jakes solo while Greg watched from the shore. He wrote a story about it years back in Paddler. It's hard enough at 2,000. I can't immagine 5,500 or...god forbid...7,000.
