Beta On Northeast Surf

I'm heading out to Maryland, Delaware, and NY for a while, looking for some good surf spots in any of these states. I know the Potomac is supposed to have a few good waves, but I have no idea where. Any info at all is much appreciated.

I grew up surfing a kayak on the Jersey shore (and ya'll question the Confluence water quality!!). If there's a swell coming in, get out on the ocean and tear it up! Just before and just after low tide is usually best. Deal Beach on the Jersey Shore was my favirote (just south of Long Branch), few crowds, free access and lots of quality bikini watching.

Surfers are a bit territorial, so stuffing a few cold brews in your boat can go a long way toward getting in line for the next set.

Nothing can beat watching the sun rise over the ocean as big glassy waves roll in. Perfect!
