Yeah that sounds like a good plan. We used to have Confluence bringing boats every week and now RA Guides brings em in since Lyle works there and is our coach he hooks us up. He's a great guy and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a guide/teacher.

As I think I said earlier I am working on figuring out insurance issues with having outsiders come to our pool sessions as our Club Sports Manager really isn't fond of the idea.

We'll be at the WW park in Golden on Sunday look for a couple boats with DU stickers on em and thats us. Say Hi if you see us!

CSM Club

Disclaimer: I didn't read the thread. Too lazy for three pages of people probably telling you not to whine. (Since most DU kids whine too much.)

Anywho, When I ran the CSM club we basically spent all of our money on gear. Didn't subsidize the trips. It's not the $20 in gas/beer for weekend trip that keeps people out of the sport, but the $800 in gear. So we spent money expanding our boats and other gear. Couple things every year. Before you know it you have a respectable fleet.

I trust at this point Derk has all but run that club into the ground though.

Thanks buddy. I was half expecting you to tell him to just go steal the gear he needed

We did some teaming up with CU and CSU this year, had open pool sessions for whoever wanted to go, did some boat demos, a spring break trip (not paid for by the club, although the club chipped in a little to help keep it affordable), etc. These guys have pretty much hit it right on as far as getting and spending funds goes. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.

I think you are the one who started out with disrespect. I responded to your post with some sound advice, and so did a bunch of people. You responded with excuses why that's not good enough, and then directly insulted me because of a comment I made about my school's club. And then came up with some comment about getting a newer boat for yourself and selling your old one to the school. I'll stay out of the thread, but before you go insulting people you might want to considered you, and I, for that matter, have no idea who the person on the other end of the computer is. I never talked trash about your boating skills or anything. I was trying to give a reality check about how to get some good gear for your club. I mean come on dude: "my club has 70+ days on the water and talented photographers." Maybe you will find a manufacturer willing to give you some free stuff...but I'd start making phone calls.

RCRE hosted Friday night lights last night at the hole. BBQ and play till 12. About 25 people showed up. Some pics should show up soon...good fun.

As far as I know, those are only allegations that the gear was stolen. Nothing has been proven.
