Best Park and Huck: Vol. 1 Idaho
So I am on a 4000 mile road trip...2000 miles into it I am in Alberta and guess what I saw a few days in Idaho...
unbelievable park and huck on upper Little Salmon downstream of McCall Idaho. Granted it was juicin big but looked to me like IV-ish lead into clean boofamatic 15er into boils and a clean booftastic 15er into boiled pool foolowed abruptly by NF Payette-esk V-ish run out...total 1/2 mile long or so roadside! Hell if I had a shoulder that was in its socket, an opposable thumb that wasn't destroyed, and a boat n paddle I might just have gave er...
Have you ever run this at sane water levels? Are the falls still clean? Only a couple hours from NF Payette road trippers...
Any more candidates for Park and Huck roadside wonders?
upper Little Salmon
I might also tell you that as a colorado boater I saw the NF Payette approaching 6000 cfs and I am now terrifed of boating, in fact I just might give it up altogether so I can once again keep my food down.
I've never boated before, but I have posted a lot on Mountain Buzz!
