Best Park and Huck: Vol. 1 Idaho

So I am on a 4000 mile road trip...2000 miles into it I am in Alberta and guess what I saw a few days in Idaho...

unbelievable park and huck on upper Little Salmon downstream of McCall Idaho. Granted it was juicin big but looked to me like IV-ish lead into clean boofamatic 15er into boils and a clean booftastic 15er into boiled pool foolowed abruptly by NF Payette-esk V-ish run 1/2 mile long or so roadside! Hell if I had a shoulder that was in its socket, an opposable thumb that wasn't destroyed, and a boat n paddle I might just have gave er...

Have you ever run this at sane water levels? Are the falls still clean? Only a couple hours from NF Payette road trippers...

Any more candidates for Park and Huck roadside wonders?

I might also tell you that as a colorado boater I saw the NF Payette approaching 6000 cfs and I am now terrifed of boating, in fact I just might give it up altogether so I can once again keep my food down.

I've never boated before, but I have posted a lot on Mountain Buzz!

Those drops on the Little Salmon are run at least a few time every year. The "Rockies" edition of LVM last year shows Boomer running these drops at high flow. We call the third drop "The Intimidator". Not very clean or booftastic, but definitely stout and full of sharp blasted rock from when they built the road.

Have fun on the North Fork. It's flowing on the high side of high.
