We just got lucky last year. Evergreen had a ton of late season low altitude snow. It was an abnormal year. Most years Bear Creek won't run at levels like that. The last time it ran at fun levels (over 300) was back before I wanted anything to do with it. (anybody know where to find the data to see if I'm full of sh!t?) If it runs this year I bet it will be in the low 200's (which kinda sucks after experiencing it at higher flows).

Yeah, blutski has it right. Quick bear rundown...

2007 - good year, ran above 300 for a while, ran for over a month
2006 - no runoff in spring, couple of boatable days during monsoon rains
2005 - Peak about 200, only a handful of boatable days
2004 - No runoff in spring, day or two of monsoon flows
2003 - Peaked at 275, ran for a couple weeks
2002 - no runnable flows
2001 - no runnable flows
2000 - no runnable flows
1999 - peaked at 660 and ran for about two months with a monsoon spike too.

so in the last 9 years, its had three seasons with decent flows for a couple of weeks or more. 99 was the last time it ran big, 2003 was the last time it really got above scrapy levels.
