From my understanding the Squamish area is going early this year. The mine run was approaching a runable level a week ago which means the ashlu box and tatlow should be coming in soon.

Tatlow has a super short window most years (days to a week or so) and is before the Box on the Ashlu comes in.

In September, a lot is going to depend on how rainy/sunny it is.

Levels of this last weekend were:

Callaghan, Birk, Soo: Low Medium
Upper Cheak: Medium
Ashlu/Tatlow: High

Sounds like Callaghan et al will be out by then, but Ashlu still going. The pack was a little thinner up north and evidentally temps stayed high enough to make the season a wee bit earlier than last year.

Here are a few pics of the Dufay action from last weekend.

BC Rivers Page

Seems that the Elaho is most commonly run from around the 30cms - 100cms
The mine is usually in when the Elaho is around 100cms-140cms
I recall our Box action from last year was with the Elaho around 80cms - 100cms
Then the lower cheak canyon was at around 2.0 on the Cheak gauge

we did rodgers on last wed and it was at a good medieum level. We did trethaway on last tuesday and it was on the high side from what I was told. The stein was at a medieum level the last 4 days, and as a personal reccomondation, don't even bother fucking with the north stein. There's between 50 and 100 log jam portages on the north stein, and it's only for a mile of huge slides and waterfalls. Everyone in our group said they would NEVER do it agian.

the cheakamus level still seems to be low but good, elaho is coming down to around 150 stuff on the ashlu could be good. If the elaho comes downt to around 100 then look into the clendenning (sp?) its a two day fly in over nighter that is supposed to be good.
Don't expect to have everything dialed in up there unless your with a local, it's BC expect adventure because thats why ya go.
