Barrel looks a bit pushy right now...

Been driving through Glenwood Canyon lately and see the hey stacks getting fuzzier. Anyone running it at these levels?

I know sheite looks smaller from the road but, it really does look like there's a line on upper death. ...not that I have the skills.

What's the beta at these levels? Calling all bad-azzes.

Barrel is running great right now... wow, its all great. What to run?

Some beta, who knows if it's any good:

It's at 6K right now, which it was about a month ago. We ran it then and two weeks ago when it dropped to around 3-4K. Not sure where you are putting in.

Lower death is more doable and perhaps fun at 3-4K, with the putin up there being not as violent. At this level it smashes you in the rocks before you even get a couple of feet towards river middle, right were upper death boil line ends. The first ledgewave is huge, the holes on RR and RC have "keeper" potential (there is about a 10 feet difference on the boil line between those two mentioned levels)

The signature Barrel Springs section is now nice and frothy. The laterals from RR and RL (in that sequence) at the upper half can flip you, as can the two large waves that begin to form and curl on the left side just before the White Room, which has by now become a monster pourover. The two holes below RR and RL are surprisingly big, with the first one being able to keep you a little longer now.

Avoid the "Lower Drop" on RR just before the Shoshone putin. Wtf is the official name of that f#)(in' hole anyway? Does anyone know that or am I just calling it that...

6-9G'S is the tough level there. No keepers. The bottom left hole is brutal. Hardest move is the middle, left to right. It's fine, just has some punch at those levels.
