I did boat in the 80's but not in CO. I was on the Current River (MO) or Elkhorn (KY), then later a Dancer on the Potomac in high school - so no familiarity with the old Bailey names.
Just moved back to DC after 5 years in Denver, so we'll see if the last ten years have made me into a Great Falls boater... Drop a line if you head east. I'm already jonesin' for a good WV trip.
P.S. Bailey newbies, Trashcan *is* nasty, but not overly difficult at all. My preferred line is to stay a little (12-18") right of where you really wish you could go - down the left side, thus avoiding some of the super-shallow mank, then drive hard left around the broach rock and boof into the eddy below. Coming from a SE-bred boater, it's hard to find a good boof in CO, so get it where you can.
