AW's Paddle Fest Weekend

American Whitewater, the nation's leading organization dedicated to conserving and restoring America's whitewater resources, will be the benefactor of many of the weekend events highlighted by the first annual AW Paddle Fest Fundraiser.

All proceeds from the following events will go directly to the Colorado Stewardship Programs.

Friday and Saturday starting at 6pm, Ska Brewing will be pouring cold beers while great acoustic music plays on the "Square."

Friday night "River Flicks", hosted by AW's Ambassadors will premier the nation's best whitewater videos.

Saturday night, May 19 at Buena Vista's historic Orpheum Theatre, Paddle Fest will host live music with Kizumba, the regions top 12 piece Salsa Band.

Join AW athletes for on water instruction, safety clinics and educational seminars.

AW's booth on the "Square" will have a membership drive all weekend, with many special perks for those that attend.

Kayakers from beginners to aspiring competitors can rub elbows with paddling manufacturers, top pro kayakers, and other industry pros during a weekend chock full of education, entertainment, gear shopping and camaraderie.

Nathan from AW will be the main contact for the AW-Colorado Stewardship Tent at Paddle Fest May 18-20 2007, Buena Vista Colorado.

He needs some volunteers to assist at the booth with ticket sales and general information throughout the 3 days.

If you are coming to Paddle Fest and have some time to help AW, please contact Nathan at nathan@amwhitewater.org

This weekend will also kick off the KEEN Foundation raffle to benefit it's partner American Whitewater. This summer we will be raffling off TWO custom Dagger Kayaks - A Nomad 8.5 and an Agent 6.2 - with all of the proceeds earmarked for AW's Colorado Stewardship Programs. Each will feature custom graphic work by Dagger as well as a few nice touches we are working on to truly make these one of a kind.
The raffle will start this weekend at Paddle Fest, where tickets are available at the AW booth, and will continue through the paddling event season here in the Rockies. More details will be forthcoming shortly.

3 Tickets - $15
5 Tickets - $20

As added incentive, anyone who signs up for a NEW American Whitewater membership as well as purchasing raffle tickets, will recieve one free extra raffle entry.
