American Whitewater's 50th Anniversary Gala Event
Paddlers Art Gallery
American Whitewater is in search of artists to show their work at the
50th Anniversary Gala Event Paddlers Art Gallery. We are looking for gifted individuals from a variety of art forms who have been influenced by nature to create works that visually inspire whitewater enthusiasts.
The 50th Anniversary Gala Event in Vail this June is will have a
Paddlers Art Gallery similar to the successful program seen at the 2003 Gauley River Festival. Artist who participated in the Gauley Festival gallery helped to raise thousands of dollars for American Whitewater and many artist sold several pieces.
The art chosen to be part of the Gala's Paddlers Art Gallery will be on display in downtown Vail during the
Teva Mountain Games which attracts thousands to the small mountain town. We will be selecting ten artist from a variety of art forms to display their work at the Gala Event. Each artist selected will be expected to donate at least one piece of art for the fund raising auction to be held during American Whitewater's 50th Anniversary Gala Fundraising Dinner.
The selection committee will require pictured samples of each artists work, these samples must be submitted no later than February 27th, 2004. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact AW volunteer Carrie Keller at
