Avon Park update

Water's dropping fast but, the Avon park is still in prime condition. Bob Sr. (the third and biggest feature) ran for a couple weeks and was in great shape.

As for now, Bob Jr. is back up and looking good. Jr. brought out some big loops and Mcnasty's earlier in the season. Check it out if you're looking to sharpen your skills.

FYI on parking...The no parking signs above the commercial take-out ramp have either been pulled by CDOT or someone drove over them. Regardless, the signs are gone which makes for easier access.

I spoke to soon...the waters back up. Came up yesterday and today. Bob Jr and Sr are holding strong and in good condition. Stop off this weekend on your way to FiBark to check it out for yourself.

If you're talking about the ramp on river left right below the bridge in Avon then it's OK. It's a pretty small area so don't park your car down there. It's just for putting in and taking out.

After you drop your boat, park your car in the Elk's across the street from the put-in. There is the area at the top of the ramp which is a pretty wide dirt area where people have been parking also. These spots are sort of park at your own risk. There used to be a bunch of no parking signs there but, most have either removed.
