"Avoid the Arkansas River Disaster" petition

Maybe you can make this a Stickey.

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this has been circulated yet, but it's a petition a friend of mine and Sen. Tom Wiens is behind and is getting some attention regarding the matter. Please take a moment to look it over and sign.
Thanks!

do you want us to sign the petition or avoid signing it?

the subject says avoid the petition, then the rest of the post says sign the petition

I want you to read it, make up your own mind about what you believe it to say. Then sign it if you don't want to paddle in a river full of debris this summer (let alone the negative environmental impact, loss of homes, and potential loss of life.)
Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

You mean debris other than the 'Gaper Armada', right?

Maybe this is a good job for the Arkansas Headwater Recreation Association (AHRA) to do something about.

Wouldn't it be nice to see them do something other than rake in money hand over fist and try to get the entire Ark restricted to permit-use only?

Queue the John Lennon music (about the AHRA, not the petition)

sorry for my original post, it seems clearer to me now. i was just reading the title wrong. i don't remember seeing the quotation marks before. i thought that you wanted people to avoid signing the petition.

maybe the title should read "petition to avoid the arkansas river disaster"

I agree, that would have been a better choice of words.
