Rather harsh calling out? Dude needs to be tied to the back of his bumper for 30 hours. Its tools like him that make responsible dog owners look bad. And take your dog to the vet.
Hostile, not merely harsh. I'm not waggling my finger at anyone for that, just acknowledging that he came here in this very thread to fess up to it. I don't know about you, but I didn't expect that when I first read CasperMike's post. Figured the owner would stay a lurker, if even that, and we'd be lucky if he fessed up, let alone, promise to never do it again. Assuming it is actually the supposed dog-owner, which I'm willing to believe it is, for the sake of argument.
Guess I'm more a glass half-full kind of guy.
Anyway, dog-owner is not hiding from this so I'm sure someone in the area will get a chance to talk to him in person.
I wish Lucky and his human-friend the best. All in all, it sounds like something positive is coming out of this, for all parties involved.
