I know that you are down in no snow on the ground saliva sittin by the pool, drinkin a cool moca latte, and workin on the tan... But...
Here in BV there is still over 3' in my back yard.. I spent the weekend up in Leadville and could not take the dogs because they can walk over walk over the 8' fence at the house.. For the race last year they had to truck in over 40 loads of snow - this year they just pushed around some..
The week before we went skiing up around Bassam. Sick small 2-6 turn lines and nobody has ever skiied up there! 5' to 6' deep Pillow lines where there is usually no snow!
Another foot or so up on the pass from the weekend.. -2 yesterday at sun up here in BV..
The Cottonwood Pass trailhead is still at avalanche.. The county will not plow up to Denny Creek due to snow.. Some years we have been at the Holey Water turn around (6 miles and over 1000 vertical feet from avalanche). Not to mention the 2-4' snowpack in all the lower elevations..
Unless we do not get another drop of snow or water.. Or if it heats up to 60 for 2 months and the ark peaks on May 1.. IMO we are past the jinx stage.
Harv... Are you up for a dawn patrol thurs trailhead about 5:30am??? My usual partner has other things to do
so it could just be 2... I could meet you in St Elmo if that is easier.. Come on harv lets get your sledneck on!
