Are permits require for Brown's day trips?

If so, how do I get one?

Thank God No. That requirement was triggered a couple of years ago when the private boat quota was exceeded during the first good runoff season after the droughts. Fortunately the outfitters gave up some of their quota for expanded operations on the Numbers and the Ark remains permit-free for private boaters.

Have a good time,

Interesting note: If you don't have exact change, the ranger has accepted a politely written IOU in the past (with ticket reference, etc.) then you can mail a check later on..
