Anything flowing in late August?

I think the Ark shuts down about then - anything else flowing in the state about then? We had some great run off earlier, but now its a bit bony...

We'll be elbowing each other for a spot on Shoshone...

The Ark will still have like 350 cfs in Royal Gorge well into the winter months, and I think that's a really fun level for the Gorge. I'll be there until it ices over (late November, maybe?).

tsavo --

From late August on, pretty much all of my boating happens on Sundays and sometimes Wed. evening -- Saturdays are no good.
So if you're looking to do a Sunday run down the Gorge any time in the next few months, gimme a ring at 719-930-1634.

Can we do it in canoes with airbags?

I'm looking for a trip on Aug 25. We have Stone to Rincon at 900 and 1000. Would the Gorge be doable by us at 350?

It gets tight below 500 CFS for 10' boats. A good indicator is to run Pinnacle Rock to Parkdale just upstream. The drops are steeper in the Gorge, but no tighter.
