Anyone looking to road trip out east next week for paddling?

I am thinking about driving out next week sometime to get some SE paddling in. Probably for a couple of weeks. Will be hitting up any creeks that are running and definitely the Gauley fest. Also looking to try and get on the "new" Cheoa (msp?) on the 17th.

just a "heads up" on the cheoah-- word is the river's going to be completely packed out with a 'wait' to put on that first day.... which isn't really problematic.... but we heard locals/ officials have set "fixed" shuttle prices of $16-$20 per paddler.... and it's *mandatory* you use their shuttles due to access issues.

I'll most likely be there that wknd: the river itself is a bit over my head, but alot of paddlers in this region seem to be planning to make the trip.
