Anyone know a good MT/WY guidebook that isn't out of print?

It appears MT Surf is permanently unavailable.. Anyone have any suggestions? Thinking about heading to MT/ID/WY this summer, but don't know squat about it.
Thanks,
Matt

I just got a copy of Whitewater of the Southern Rockies, it rocks. It cover's WY well, and it has a few runs in eastern Idaho. Not sure about a book for western Idaho or Montana.

The MT Surf authors are working on a 2nd edition that will cover the MT stuff and northern ID, but I'm not sure of the release date. Whitewater of the Southern Rockies covers most everything in WY and a few runs in ID.

I'm still looking for a good ID book. In the midst of planning a trip with a 10 year old book.

I've got a copy of Montana Surf I'd probably sell. Tried to make it to the Boulder on the way down and it is the only guidebook I've ever read that sandbags the shuttle roads! Coming from Idaho I though I knew what shitty roads were (I've driven my Caravan into Slate Creek) The author's are quick to call a dirt road gravel. After a few at the Big T Bar, I headed upstream only to turn back after 20 minutes (about 2 miles) of bone jarring washboard. Hope you have a truck!

ID guide books

Call Idaho River Sports in Boise, ID.
800-936-4844 208-336-4844

1521 N. 13th
Boise, ID 83702

They can send you Grant Amaral's river guide book:
"Idaho-The Whitewater State, A guide book".
It's the best for ID.

The folks at the shop can give you ph #'s to Jackson Hole's river shop. They'd have the best selection of river guides, I bet.
For MT try: www.whitewatermaps.com
I got a Gallatin map at Northern Lights Trading Co. in Bozeman. There was not a MT guide book at that time.

Just get in the car & drive. The scenery can't be beat.
Watch out for logs. Enjoy the hot springs. btw- I hear the snow pack was low this year. No problem, the rivers are deep & fun at moderate to low flows.
Paddle for Life.
