Anyone going to Lyons Outdoor games
Everyone should really encourage this weekend's participants to spend money in Lyons, nothing big, just meals, snacks, gas whatever. Also mention to every business that you walk into, that you are in town for the event. If the local businesses see an increase in revenue from this event, and see that it is from the event, it will secure it's future for a long time.
Also a little self police, if you see fellow boaters doing anything sketchy, remind them that we are guests and this event is on the edge of becoming a huge. I have been involved in a few cycling events that have been shutdown because people were Peeing in public. As we witnessed earlier this season on the buzz, it only takes a few to really spoil the fun, and give boaters a bad name.
No need to tell you all, but a big High five to Matt Booth and all the other boaters that have volunteered their time in order for us all to have a blast!
It is really cool to see Lyons buzzing with energy, and jammed pack full of some of the best boaters in the world!
