Anybody know when gore releases will start?

I actually want to take the family on pumphouse and was wondering if anyone has insight into when they will start releasing irrigation water out of Blue mountain reservoir. Those farmers MUST NEED more water, right?

Thanks, Dave

heard 2 things: 1- when the eagle drops and 2- when they are finished working on the damn in glenwood canyon. supposed to be done july 1st, according to one source, so who knows -- your guess is as good as mine....

I've been told by the Forest Service people at the Shoshone ramp that the power plant is scheduled to start up this Wed (7/14) so that should mean more water in the Upper Colorado...

Send Kara Lamb at the US BuRec a note - just do a search for posts she's made.

They've bumped it up a nut hair already, but look for it to really spike this weekend.

how do I know laddie?

oiee laddiee... cuz I can feel it in me fuzzy long nuthairs

I'd bet it comes up over 700cfs (from the spike from July 09 low of 290cfs, ouch) - now that dam maintenance is done and rain falls in the high country, we're hoping for the best.

Historical surfacewater streamflow data shows averages this time of year in the range of 1400cfs, so in order to ramp her back up from dam maintenance to normal flows to maintain downstream water rights agreements, shes got to roll!

the past three years averages to 750cfs, (drought)
we've seen flows at:
2000 954cfs
2001 630cfs
2002 501cfs

looking back further:
1996 1,572cfs
1997 1,741cfs
1998 1,007cfs
1999 1,090cfs
