Somewhat complicated. They probably increased the size of their skirt because cockpits have all gotten so big... but who knows.
You can cut a wedge out of the back end of the skirt and reglue it. You probably need to cut into the neoprene a few inches and then glue that back together as well.
The other solution is to get the rand free from the neoprene, cut it, reglue it, and glue it back on.
We could do that for you (not that I am looking for work) at Wildwasser in Boulder.
