Any word on the Big South Road??????

Any word on when the road in to Long Draw will open? Hoping to get down and run it a couple of times over a long weekend soon. Any and all info much appreciated. Jon H.
Oh, for anyone thinking about heading up to the Honeymoon stretch of the Clark's Fork Yellowstone: we were on it over the weekend, and the huge log below Ralph makes it unrunnable at this higher level. The portage requires roping the boats up a cliff. Also, there is big new wood in Trixie that makes it unrunnable, all the way across the drop, may change as water drops. We ran Crandall Creek yesterday, and there are two new portages due to logs in there, not difficult.

Hineman, it should be in the next three weeks, probably! They don't want all the people up there messing up the side roads. Anyway, when you do come down drag carpet with you and we will fire it up!

Yah. The Carpet was with us up on the Honeymoon over the weekend. He's in fine form. Was hoping the Big South road might open a little earlier, but such is life. We are headed to BC for two weeks starting the 2nd week of July. Going to do a couple of fly-ins near Whistler. May be pushing it to drive that far south just to turn around and do twice the drive north the following weekend, but will keep it in mind. If we don't make it, will send Carpet down with a posse for sure. JH
