Any way to reduce spray skirt leak?

My spray skirt leaks from around the cockpit rim. It's not a real tight skirt, but pretty firm.

Any easy way to reduce the leakage? How about putting that sticky paddle grip stuff on the cockpit rim?

Buy a smaller skirt. I have one for the creekboat and one for the playboat. They last just as long in terms of days on the water, so its not a bad buy.
