Any one in or near Twin Falls, Idaho?

Curious if there are any paddlers in or near Twin Falls, ID. here on the 'buzz?

My wife and I just relocated to the area and are going to head up north a little ways and do some paddling this week if anyone is interested.

If this week isn't going to work for ya, but you do live nearby and like to raft or kayak, send me a personal message and maybe we can get together for a beer.

I learned to paddle in Twin about nine years ago. Moved to CO seven years ago.
I've never seen any of those folks on the Buzz. There's a small group of good paddlers in Twin.
I would suggest finding River Rat Whitewater Toyz in Twin and checking in there and seeing if they can help hook you up with some folks.
Also the boat shop in Boise is cool; a good launch point for your Twin-to-the-Payettes missions.

There's a small group of us in Twin Falls. Nobody is really active on any of the boards so it's not easy to hook up unless you know someone. Have you been on any of the local stuff... Malad, the 'Sewer' or surfing at Bliss/Hagerman run? Usually a group of locals surf the Bliss wave every Tuesday evening. The Murtaugh release has been sad this year, but last winter it ran and we hit it in January. Where are you going up North this week? Deadwood is off so the SF Payette runs are pretty much dry. What class of water do you like to paddle? Hit me back on here and I can try to hook you up with a phone# or 2 for the active group of paddlers in the TF area.

Hey Matt - welcome to the land of the white water.

I think we talked last year a bit. Glad you made it. I am not going out until later in Sept on the Mf, but it sounds like we do have some locals around here on the board - more than I thought.

I am up in Bellevue and take my kids down near Stanley some, pretty mellow right now. Fishing is all right, but the boating is 3- and dropping.

Payettes will still treat you right. Even at lower flows the Staircase can be fun. The Bliss stretch is pretty fun. It's been years since I been down there but for some easy fun kayaking and surfing ....... well it sounds like you are on your way. If the Murtaugh ever runs it's one of the best in the state for quality of whitewater.
