Any Class III/IV flowing near Weaverville, California

Any California boaters know if there is any Class III/IV flowing in Trinity County as of now. Have to travel out there unexpectedly and would like to know if I could rent a kayak and paddle and maybe check something new out. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with many runs in your area, but here is a great website that can help: California Creeks - Recommended Runs

The runs at the bottom are all dam controlled, so they are usually available.

I forgot to mention, there is another site to see the flows at all the dams here: http://www.dreamflows.com/flows.php?...canv&form=norm

Seems like you may be close'ish to the Feather which is probably running. I'm stuck working in Lodi, CA this spring/summer.

Bystander: you know of anything that's running? I found a place to rent a boat

If you are in Lodi, the South Fork of the American is open Saturday and Sunday's starting this weekend. Chilli Bar and the Gorge are III to III+.

I haven't really done much either, but hope to change that this year.

In Weaverville you'll be twenty minutes from the class III Pigeon Point run of the Trinity. It has water for sure. It's not an easy place to rent a boat but I'd imagine you can borrow one as there is a very friendly local community. If you need to just shoot me an email and I'll pass you along. d_mcquoid at hotmail
