any chance golden will get some work done on it this off sea

There was a good bit of moaning and complaining about how bad it sucks early this season. I am just wondering if there are any plans to rework some of the stuff that is broken or make any improvements during the low season.

There is actually a very good chance of work being done at Golden. According to Gary, the library hole, the drop below and maybe the bingo hole are being redone. The upper section will not be changed. A couple months ago I was down there and they were already tearing out the library hole. Hopefully these drops will all be better come next spring.

Do you know how i might get in touch with gary or anyone involved with the process of reworking these features? I'm all for improvements to the golden park, but I for one would realy like to see the drop below the library hole (2nd from the botom - across from the golden hotel deck) remain untouched.

It's not much of a feature for cartwheeling or surfing, but it's a really fine spot for squirt boating and droping mystery moves. It'd be a shame to have that feature torn up and in favor of what probalby won't be a much better hole anyway, and ruin the only mystery move venue i know of on the front range. For refrence, here's a link to the above mentioned spot at a decent flow for sinking: http://www.outdoorjunkie.com/media/goldensquirtpark.mov

Maybe i'll go out there and chain myself to the drop - all hippie style.

Nice mystery! We used to be able to do that in our rodeo boats in drop #6.. Ok not quite like that!
Someone should just go drop a few bags of cement on the drops they want to alter, and let them set up right in the bag. Doh! Kidding.
