Any buzz on when the Big south gate will be open?

It appears to be running at a decent flow... with all the snow in the front range, will the gate open later than usual?

Running decent is kind of an understatement. High might be the word I would use. And hiking up seven miles will only get you near the top of the flat water in the middle. It's about 10 miles to the top with a ferry across where the trail crosses from river right to river left. At this flow the hike-in from Rocky would be the way to go. My guess on the gate is as good as yours but I'd venture to say before July this year.
