Not just did Andy beat everyone 30 years younger in the Nationals Races and National team trials, he did it again on Sunday in the Marathon.
Another very worthy note Mike Freeburn (local Durango paddling beast), Andy's training partner locked up 2nd in Nationals as well as The Marathon.
I've got about 4 months in on my DR boat and thought I would do OK. I didn't. I think I pulled last on team trials above those who swam Cottonwood in the race. I did Ok in the Marathon, but no where near where I thought I would.
DR is a tough sport and these guys are the best in the nation. Congratulations you guys earned and killed it.
my buddy sent me a pic of the mass start of the marathon, I will post it.
