Adventure Race on the Upper Colorado River - Sept. 9

Gravity Play Sports will be holding an adventure race on the Upper Colorado River this Saturday, Sept. 9 from Pumphouse to Rancho del Rio. There may be between 150 to 200 participants. Spectators will be at Rancho del Rio only. The participants will be floating in some type of single person inflatable craft. I don't know what time they will be passing through, but wanted everyone to be aware of the activity if you are planning on being on the Upper Colorado on Saturday.

Am I to take that to mean that, "they" are not allowing anyone else to float that section of river on Saturday?

I take it to mean to be aware that there will be a race going on. I think that is all they are saying.

I'm hoping that's what it means too, Whitelightning. I've been planning a float trip with my girlfriend for a few weeks now, and I don't mind watching a race like this float on past us. I'm just hoping they don't think they can shut down that stretch of river to boaters and fishermen on Saturday.
