I can't figure out why the "poor white trash southerners" don't see things your way! Why can't they figure out that you and yours have their true best interests in mind! They must really be morons...
It's this devisive crap that is so tiring.
For the hell of it, I'll recant when I became more conservative. When I lived in Denver and saw the same folks on the same corners day in and day out, waving their bs signs, trying different gimmicks (is that fat guy near the Nat Hist museum still lifting his wheel chair off and on that median? bet so, he was for at least two years!). After a while of paying taxes and watching slugs, I had enough.
If you want something, get a job and earn it. If you have a problem, vote, donate money, call reps, do something. I'm a member of several groups for political purposes, not all that are on the same page (ie NRA and AWA!) All I hear from the Dems these days is complaining and finger pointing. They aren't offering anything to vote for, only against! And believe me, the Reps are leaving alot of ground open (one thing I think we can all agree on). But at this rate, the Rep ruling will not end soon. Get used to it or come up with something better but name calling and finger pointing doesn't get many votes.
In a crisis, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The second best is the wrong thing. The worst is nothing at all. I think Churchill said that--doesn't matter, I certainly agree (no quotes b/c it isn't verbatim).
And as far as the spill goes, it happens. When you transport anything you will have the occasional problem. Point out a high rate of accidents, then you are getting somewhere. Pointing out that it was a truck contracted by Halliburton, and you might as well be pointing out the driver's religion and blaming them. The is the devisive bulls I was referring to, and it is rampant these days.
