AAA self-bailing conversion

I've got an old bucket boat that's still in great shape that I'm looking to convert to a self-bailer. Considering my boat is custom outfitted I really don't want to put out the bucks to start all over again with a new boat. I know AAA in Denver does a lace in conversion. Anyone have any experience with them on this one? Or Downriver or anyone else?

Hey, I have a SB conversion that was done on a old Hyside. I posted a thread on the Buzz "SB Conversion Success" that explained the conversion pretty well.

The Boat has been awesome, I've been able to take it down the lake fork, the regular lower animas floats, and I just got off of westwater and the conversion has been great.

Let me know if you have any questions on my conversion, I have no idea if it is anything like the AAA conversions, but the floor is laced in down the middle.

I have a 20 year old 16' Rogue that is set up great and would love to know how much it would cost to convert. Also wondering what the weigh would add compared to a modern boat.

I've got a couple of buddies that did that to an old Campways 18' bucket boat a few years ago. I think AAA did the conversion, I think it cost them about $100/ft. They seemed to be real happy- I'll see if I can get one to drop you a line. By the way, AAA is a group of talented pros, I don't think they'd even do the conversion if they felt it wouldn't work out well.
