I was just riding my bike home from work and rolled up behind an asphalt truck and noticed the tires. Anything look sketchy about this pic? I had to laugh at the situation based on what I read in the previous articles about the trucks passing inspection.

dot says that there need to be no less than 3/32 of an inch of tread on the truck and 2/32 on the trailer...kinda messed up a mechanic i would want alittle more tred on an 80,000lb killing machine...those tires are obviously less than just pointing out that the dot standard sucks too...every 90 days or 30,000 miles the truck by law needs to have a "bit inspection" but that does not apply to trailers...more than half of the trailers that we randomly inspect have bad or flat tires and misadjusted brakes and are overdue for service...the driver is supposed to check all this as part of a pretrip inspection but lets face it...there are a lot of very lazy truck drivers...and usually the drivers dont know what theyre looking at anyways...cant tell you who i work for, i dont need to get fired...
