The Lower and Upper Box typically flow all winter at a low flow due to Colorado being done with irrigation in the Fall. If we have a cold winter, they usually ice up pretty good. If it is mild, then usually they are fine to kayak. The gauges change weekly, so keep an eye on them. 600cfs min for the Lower. 450cfs min for the Upper. We usually start hitting the Upper in March, when it has warmed up a bit. Good early season boating for sure. probably do another overnight on the Lower soon if it comes back up. Happy new Year...
