Start making your plans to be in Salida, Colorado for the 63rd annual New Belgium FIBArk Whitewater Festival held June 16th - 19th.
This years events feature all the usual favorites like the Pine Creek Boater Cross, Hooligan Race, slalom, and all the downriver races. New this year is the SUP Triple Crown with freestyle, cross and the 10 mile downriver race. Go down in FIBArk History being the first SUP T.C. winner!
The Freestyle competition is again part of the growing USA Freestyle Point Series and FIBArk always brings out the best competitors.
The music line up this year is fantastic so go to
www.FIBArk.net to see all the bands and times. And always the local bars are out doing them selves with the late night shows.
Volunteering is a great way to show your support for the oldest and boldest whitewater festival. Volunteer for the weekend or for a day with many options to choose from. Jobs range from safety boating the Pine Creek Race to working the beer tent or helping with registration for the many events.
Volunteering as a safety boater for the Pine Creek Race waives the fee to enter the freestyle competition. Interested people should contact
philgamache@gmail.com or 719-221-2229
Check the FIBArk website at
