Holy Crap. How was that not discovered before now? Not sure if I have the spine for that one (literally and figuratively), but I'd sure like to check it out. Let's get some info on the location...

Glad you all like it...

Here's the scoop on location: it's the upper Lake Fork above Sherman. We took out at a bridge on the road up to Cottomwood creek (another good little creek I think - we ran the best drops and bolted). We put in 2.3 miles up the Upper Lake Fork. It is very low now, but I am from VA so we didn't get to pick the level. There are mostly easy, manky drops with wood, then the big one. It is a solid 50 I'd say. Actually it is a dam. I'll post more some time.

Have fun,
Gordon Dalton

Damn- this is the same section I've looked last summer from the road above Sherman and from the private bridge below. You guys must have- ahem- taken "liberties" with access. Good for you. I was there after the flow was down and I was going to check it out this year. I asked Gary E about this one and he said he thought the 1st D had been done, but didn't have much info. I'm pretty sure now that no one had dropped the 50', tho- we would have heard about it. Durangotans can access this one from Cinnamon pass, just down from Handies Peak. Great work...
