River Rescue/Stewardship Clinics

When: July 5, 2007 – kids - 9-12pm, and adults - 5-8:30pm
July 6, 2007 – kids - 9-12pm, and adults - 5-8:30pm
Capacity: Each session will be limited to the first 15 people.
Where: Golden Whitewater Park
What: Come learn the basics of river safety and rescue with Sam Drevo. This 3 hour intro class will cover basic rescue philosophy, while providing hands on practice and basic training. Topics covered will include throw bags, shallow water crossings, boat based rescue. We will start with a one-hour dry land briefing on river etiquette, stewardship, and rescue basics. Then we will spend 1.5 hours developing essential skills for river kayakers, and then ending with a question and answer period where you can expand your knowledge base.
Cost: Kids- $20, Adults, $40
