2nd Annual Boatercross @ Monarch Mountain

Saturday, April 7th will be the 2nd annual Boatercross at Monarch Mountain. This years event will be bigger and better than last's with the addition of New Belgium Brewery on hand as well as CKS and possibly more companies out on the snow sponsoring the event. Registration for the event will start @ 9 am at the Guest service desk. Practice will be from 10-11 and the event starts at 11 am. We will have single elimination runs and competitors will be set up in brackets the same way that a normal boardercross is run. This years course promises to be bigger, better, and more fun than last year and there might even be a small pond to skim at the bottom. The entry fee for the comp is $20 which includes a T-shirt. From what I heard about last year, the event was wicked. Fast course with a few turns. And head to head. Due to see some good wrecks and happy winners. I hate to say it but I will not be there. I am hosting a First Descents dinner here in Vail and I have to be there at 4pm. Good luck with everything. Im sure it will be a great party and event. Wouldnt mind getting down there to board either.

Hobie, yeah the course was pretty wicked last year from what i heard. I wasnt around last year, but i heard there was some carnage. this year we are going to make the course alot better, safer, and longer, so it should be way better. Wish you could make it here, but you should come ride here sometime anyway. If you make it here this season you should find me, i am usually in the park or hanging around the lodge. Later.
