1st Descent Trip Report

1st Known Descent of Queen Creek. This roadside run actually dished out some quality goods. With semi-reliable flows and close to town...this is now dubbed "The Green of Phoenix".

Unfortunately...no rain. But there is some hope (it's getting hot and should kick mid-week).

So what's the likelihood of there being decent boating within a couple of hours outside of Phoenix around spring break time on a scale of 1 - 10....A buddy of mine is headed that way and is offering to foot the gas bill for some company and beta so I figured I'd give it a shot.....Thanks for any info!

Not to sure about a "rating scale" for Arizona. You'll find some good boating this year. You'll also have to define "decent"....because word can mean alot in this state. But if you were to come out here, you will have some reliable Salt flows thru march.

I wasn't there but I scouted it with Cody at low water a few weeks before they got on it. It's east of Superior off of the 60. Take out below the tunnel and put in as high up as you want (probably not more than a mile up).

The scale was more in reference to likelihood of having water in March and not as much about the quality of the runs. Unfortunately my schedule isn't going to allow me to go anyway.....Thanks though.
