11 mile canyon 550?

Hitched a shuttle this evening with some fisher people. They were told to "enjoy the water now, because its getting ready to go up to 550-600." Some guide told them Spinney is almost full and will spill soon. Who knows, thought I'd share. definitely worth paying attention to.

They are correct about the res filling. Its hard to estimate what will spill though. The outflow of Antero is only 70, but the inflow at Elevenmile is 242. That number includes water brought through the Twin Lakes tunnel and sent through the Otero Pump Station...however, imports are dropping off quick. Spinney Mountain, Elevemile and Cheeseman are all at or above 100% capacity. I think how much they increase releases will depend on Denver Water's target pool height for the fall/winter.

GARNA’s mission is to foster stewardship of the resources of the greater Arkansas River region through education, volunteerism and experiences.

When I drove over them yesterday, both the SF South Platte (@ Hartsel) and the S Platte itself (@ Lake George) had lots of water in them. Not flooding, but more than they usually carry.....
